Dr Jason Y Chan, DDS
Hello! I (Dr Jason or Dr J) am a Seattle native. I grew up in the greater Seattle area and eventually went to the University of Washington for both my bachelor’s and doctorate degrees. The Pacific Northwest has always been my home, and I love it here!
For me, sharing my knowledge about oral health has been one of the greatest missions of my life. I believe that every patient deserves to understand their own health and I hope to empower them to take control of it. Everyone has a great smile and it’s my goal to help people realize it and maintain it for their entire lives!
Having been in this field for over a decade now (wow time flies!), I have had the pleasure of helping a very wide spectrum of people. Whether I was seeing minorities in community clinics, or patients in a high-end cosmetic practice, or entire families in a general practice, I have always strived to help all my patients achieve their best smile. This vision of helping anyone and everyone has been consistent since dental school. From educating local kids on oral health through the Husky Smiles program, to serving as a mentor/teaching assistant to upcoming dental students, to treating Burmese refugees, I am more than willing to share my knowledge to whomever I come across.
Dentistry is a rapidly evolving field, so expanding my knowledge to stay abreast of new technologies is important to me. I have taken hundreds of hours of Continuing Education (CE) courses and continue to take them to keep up to date. Some of the CE I have taken include the HiOssen Master course in Dental Implants, Functional Occlusion from world renown John Kois, Invisalign Provider training, Tucker Gold Inlay/Onlay Restorations, Honors Periodontal Surgery, Advanced Restorative Techniques and Dental Esthetics, Impaction Oral Surgery, and many others.
Outside of dentistry, I love going on adventures with my wife and son. We love to explore all the parks and nature that the PNW has to offer. I also enjoys playing games (video and board varieties), watching and playing sports (80’s, 90’s, 00’s NBA basketball and the Seahawks!), watching netflix, and cooking.
